Get ready with me! Plus Smoothies

Hey gals! I have been very busy with my little one. She is so sweet and fun, and I am so happy to have such a wonderful little girl in my life. Recently we did smoothies made of fresh fruits and yogurt.

It was fun teaching her to like healthy snacks - but wow she is so picky! Hahaha always wanting junk food, but thats how children are sometimes.

Anyway, here is my get ready video! Haha, lets see if you can do your makeup this fast!

Makeup Tutorial ~ Gal Mama Moments

Hey gals! I filmed a makeup tutorial for you all. I did this while my sweet little one was helping, so there is an extra cute piece at the end of the video with her in it! She is just too damn cute, bwahaha.

Only a couple of gals actually asked for a tutorial, but I want to share with all my lovely readers. This what I am currently doing with my makeup. As my style and technique evolves, you should be able to see some different videos. :)

Enjoy!

Concealer tutorial for red skin

Hello Gals! I recently made a tutorial for using concealer on very red skin that I hope you can find useful. I have rosacea, so my skin gets very red and horrible looking sometimes. :( When this happens, I must add 20 extra minutes to my makeup routine if I want to have a flawless foundation.

Here is my video - please give this a thumbs up on youtube!

Also, here are the before and after pictures!

There is such a huge difference when you can take the time to apply makeup properly. <3 p="">

FOTD and Seussical the Musical

For my Theater class we are to write a paper critique of a major performance made at the college. I took Mark with me to see Seussical the Musical. Even though it had a rough start, it was really good and we had lots of fun! It was a really cute production, and you should see a performance if you get the chance.

I had time to do my makeup for the night as well, and I got lots of compliments for the drama kids at the theater! \^_^/

It always looks like I don't wear blush in pictures even though I put on quite a bit originally. Haha, maybe it wears off?!

Also, I am just finishing up with midterms. So far I will all my credits for my biology degree by the end of this fall at the latest (maybe even this summer). Then I shall start nursing school! I'm already looking forward to that time...

BIG curls and Don Picos

I went out for margaritas this past Saturday with some friends and had so much fun! I had some time to get ready, so I practiced making big curls in my hair for the night. I am still getting used to using so much hair spray and teasing to get the results I want! At one point someone said my hair was trashy, and then just after that I am hearing that it was beautiful! What a world... @_@ I just replied that I was "trashy fabulous"?

I got to hang out with my sister and her boyfriend who happens to be one of my best friends. ^-^

Lots of people were there including a friend from high school and Texas A&M.

Mark and I drank 3 margaritas each! Haha, we had so much fun just hanging out with everyone...

This was also the first time I wore two pair of upper lashes at the same time. I think it turned out really well. :)

The next day I went and got a massage and pedicure with a really sweet girl friend of mine. We had a wonderful relaxing day that was perfect to wrap up the weekend!

Sleep over with Mina (Cherry Gal)

Recently I got together with a member of Cherry Gal for a sleep over. ^_^ We had lots of fun playing a dance game on the Wii and ordering pizza.

My favorite part was giving Mina a makeover. :D She loves Popteen and Seventeen styles, so I tried to make her look sweet and cute.

I hope I succeeded! Take a look....

I think her blush really shows up well in this picture below, even though its a funny angle.

And of course, here is a pretty close up of the makeup style I did for her.  What do you think? Did I do a pretty good job or what?! I think Mina looks so cute and pretty. ^_^

:D Makeovers and sleep overs are such fun!

BACK! Quick makeup shot!

One of my first successful attempts at bottom lashes! Practice makes perfect, and I'm getting better each time. :) Haha... my foundation melted off (we were at pride parade!) so my skin is kinda meh, but my eye makeup held up very well!

Now that summer school is over with - talk about rough - I am back to blogging and sharing! :) I've got lots of stuff to blog about.

My only complaint is that I used diamond bottom in Princess, and the band was a bit thick. I felt like it was really noticeable. What do you think?

NYX cosmetics at HauteLook

I don't usually blog about this sort of thing, but it was honestly too awesome to keep quite about. NYX is on crazy sale at Hautelook (go here). Huge eyeshadow palettes are less than $30, glitter palettes less than $20, and a super cute cupcake lipgloss set for less than $10, just to name a few of my favorites.

You would be stupid crazy not to at least check this out.

And you best believe I snatched up the glitter palette. ^_^

Super NYX sale!

Playing with Makeup

My first try with gel liner and a brush. Hahaha lots of trial and error! It came out quite heavy, so maybe I will be more conservative next time under my eyes. ^_^ Next I will try this with some basic lower lashes - wish me luck!

Oh my skin is terrible... I need a facial or something.

Super MAC Haul - PIC HEAVY

OK - so I got a bonus at work and spent it all on goodies for myself! This is my first MAC purchase, and I went overboard. ^_^ But I'm so happy with everything I got! How can a Gal resist a sale?

I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Please ignore my shiny face and double chin, lol...

Nails

Remember my post about the ebay purchase of a lash case?

My Dolly Wink lash case has arrived! Well, it got here a couple of weeks ago, I just haven't posted pics yet. So - here it is!! SO adorable; I love it!!

It's spacious and has a separate compartment for tiny individual lashes... or maybe even to soak your lashes in some cleanser?

Like I mentioned in my previous post, you can find lots of Dolly Wink products on ebay. Just type "Dolly Wink" in the search bar. You will be pleasantly surprised. :)

5 Makeup Must-haves for every GAL!

Running late or feeling too "blah" to sit down and do your whole makeup routine? We've all been there. So, with these 5 beauty essentials you can create your basic gal look at a moments notice!

If you don't carry makeup, or even if you're going out with a small clutch, you can (and should) always carry these 5 slim and compact items.

1. Concealer
Get a full coverage concealer to dab under eyes and blend out any problem spots.

2. Black Eyeliner
This is obviously your basic tool for your "big dramatic eyes". Carry a black waterproof twist-up pencil for convenience.

3. Black Mascara
Not just any mascara, Gals. Go for a fabulous black waterproof mascara. Think long and voluminous lashes!

4. Powder Compact
Dust your entire face for a flawless oil free look. Try a mineral foundation if you need some more serious coverage.

5. Nude Tinted Lip Gloss
Pick a long lasting shade to compliment your skin tone and that can go with any outfit.

Keep these Beauty Basics with you at all times. Not only will you need these for quick touch ups, but you can go from frumpy to fabulous in a few minutes.

What product do you always carry with you? What can't you leave the house without?
