Messina Hof and Nails

Here is a quick pic of some adult style nails I tried out. Very plain from what I usually do, but I felt pretty in the setting I was in. For a couple of days at the beginning of Spring Break, I spent a couple of days and nights at Messina Hof winery B&B.

I used a slate gray and a dark wine color for these nails

Here is a picture of the room we stayed in called the Venus room. It was quite lovely! All the furniture is antique and absolutely beautiful. Our room has a balcony overlooking the side of the forest. The bathroom had a large relaxing hot bath and a separate shower. It was wonderful!

The outside of the villa has a huge rose and herb garden. Walking by is so fragrant and relaxing! The wine sure helped my mood too. ;)  I didn't want the trip to be over, but I feel recharged after such a relaxing trip.

My Favorite DECO phone apps - Part 2 SNAPEEE

Here is a mini review and example of my second choice of a really good, and free, puri app for android and iphone.

# 2 - DecoPic on android and iphone

This is a kawaii photo deco app that you can take pics with, deco, and then upload to various sites like twitter and facebook.

Pros!
Snapeee has frames, stamps, pen function, text function, and lots of cute stuff to add! It posts to social media sites well, and saves your photos on your phone for you for access later. :) Its free, and there is a mini community within the app itself! You can browse other users photos and follow them. Its a lot of fun!

Cons!
It has lots of options, but not as much as other photo editing apps. The options are well rounded, so it works well for me. I could see someone who posts several photos a day getting bored maybe? They come out with new stuff occasionally though. Also, you can't share directly with your own contacts straight from the app. :(

Here are a couple of pics I played with and uploaded to G+

My favorite part about this app is being able to follow other users and seeing what they post. ^_^ I hope this review was helpful, and remember that this is a free app! :D

BUY WHATEVER YOU WANT

I lot of people try to stay in trend and only buy what's hot now. I say, buy whatever you want. If its lovely, and you feel pretty in it, get it if you want it. Don't let a trend tie you down!

Take a look at this dress that is a $260 pr-eorder on Murua's webstore:

A fact you all know - fashion gets recycled, revamped, and reused. For example, I bought this black dress at Hot Topic 1 1/2 years ago for $35 (sadly not available anymore):

please excuse my terrible photography! :P

Shorter and two more tiers of fabric at the hip, but a great look alike and less expensive option!

SO - if you love something, be happy and enjoy it! Plus, you never know... it could be like the totally really awesome new thing next season.

My Favorite DECO phone apps - Part 1 DECOPIC

I wish I could make it to the PuriKura machine at Planet Zero more often! I love getting friends together for this. ^_^

Since its on the other side of Houston, and costs about $3 per sheet (I think), using an app is a great option! You won't have stickers in person :( but you can share with more people :) via twitter, facebook, etc.

Here is a mini review and example of two really good, and free, puri apps for android and iphone.

#1 - DecoPic on android and iphone

This is a cute photo decorating app that you can snap pics with, decorate, and then upload to social media sites.
The more pics you take, deco, and upload - the more features become available.

Pros!
Deco pic has frames, stamps, pen function, text function, and lots of cute stuff to add! It posts to social media sites well, and saves your photos on your phone for you for access later. :)

Cons!
It has lots of options, but you have to use the app more and more to unlock everything. Hahaha, I kind of just want it all now! Also, you can't share directly to a friend. :(

These are a couple of pics I've played with and uploaded to twitter (@fatandsassy).

#2 Snapeee - will be my next post!

Its lots of fun, and you can get pretty cute results from this app! I know Bloomzy uses this app, does anyone else?

Pastel Pink and Blue

Just a quick post to show my new nails :)

I let them rest in January, and they are back now for the time being!

I get all my 3D plastic parts from Yuki Campbell's Fullmoon Deco Webstore and I buy the swarovski crystals on ebay or at Micheal's. I use a drop of super glue straight on the nail and place the crystal or nail deco on using tweezers.

Super glue offers a strong hold, but it dries quickly so you have to act fast! Also, be careful not to get the glue on other parts of your nail as it will look cloudy and detract from the shine of your polish or acrylic finish.

I do nails myself in an effort to save money. :) Does anyone else DIY their nails?
