Next Deco project - car plate

Here is my next project! I'm still working on my laptop, but feeling a bit burnt out on that large task.
I'm going to make a pretty sparkly plate cover for my car. ^_^ I'm very excited, but also a bit worried if this will hold up well in rain? Planning on using epoxy glue for extra hold.
Ever done a deco project that needed to hold up against the elements? Haha, I could use the advice. :)

Style update and puri

Went out again with mark to get a few things from FIT in Houston. ^_^ So much neat stuff to play with! It was a bit chilly out, so my leggings were a good choice for the day.

And of course we hit up the puri machine! Mark is such a great sport. Then we got a treat at a great bakery downstairs. So delicious and pretty, I almost couldn't eat it!

Recent nails - red and silver with zipper detail

Here is a quick pic of some sparkled red and silver nails I have. I used the Sally Hansen stick on nail polish designs for the zipper nail.
I imagined my nails to be edgy looking, lol.

For some reason, going to any nail salon it seems, they have a hard time or are unwilling to do any type of different design. The nail techs also give me grief when I ask for longer nails with any type of finish other than square. Sigh...

Also - another comparison of the app vs. uploader. Huge difference!

September meet WOW

Here is a quick post of the amazing meet Cherry Gal had in September.
We had a great time getting Puri, having lunch, and then walking to a wonderful patisserie (spelling on that maybe off).
Planning the meet for October in a week! Yay!

Here are the pictures using the mobile blogger app. Unfortunately, the pics from the app tend to be very low quality. :(

Here are the pics using the regular uploader from my laptop.

We had so much fun hanging out together! ^_^

We did several rounds of puri, and to divide the pics fairly, we took rounds of choosing which ones each of us took by playing rock, paper, scissors. Haha, fair right?! Of course I did very poorly!

I'm so happy that we have been able to meet up once a month consistently. I feel like it is such an amazing and fun thing that we all found each other through this group and now can have so much fun together. ^_^

So excited for our next meet!

Out and about with my best

Went to an organic tea bar off Bellaire and had some really delicious green mango smoothie with Mark. ^_^ Not sure if organic made it better, haha but Mark is into snooty things sometimes for the fun of it.

Kind of a Derp Face and missing a nail. :D Enjoy our crazy faces sharing a drink like lady and the tramp?!

Recent PuriKura plus mobile app?!

So, haha can't sleep! Trying the mobile app for Blogger, as this might motivate me to post more often. :)
Mark and I went to FIT in Houston last week and got some really cute puri done. ^_^ I'm always so excited to add another page to my book!
My birthday is this weekend, so I'm hoping to get some more done with friends.

New Hair - Pink and Red

Hello darlings! So sorry for the lack of blogging lately, haha that is if you've been missing me even. I took a break over the summer months to concentrate on summer school. Now that I'm back in the groove for Fall semester classes, I'm making a promise to you and myself to blog about once a week.

Now to the part you really care about, pics right?

I used Ion Color from Sally Beauty for both the red and pink. For the red I used a demi color mixed with 20 volume developer instead of 10 volume for more vibrant color and deeper penetration of my hair follicle (which should mean longer lasting). The color I used is called Light Burgundy Blonde and looks like a cherry red to me.

For the pink I used Ion Color brights. This is a semi permanent dye, so no mixing was required. The color I used was Magenta. It starts off very bright, but fades to a lovely light pastel pink. I feel like I get to enjoy the best of both worlds (light and bright) with this!

Ion is great for alternative colors and is available over the counter, aka no license required. Also, I feel this brand lasts much better than manic panic and the like. Plus, so many colors are available! :D

What I used is $5 at Sally Beauty stores and is comparable to professional line of dyes like Pravana's ChromaSilk Vivids.

Pravana ChromaSilk Vivids is $8 to $10 (that's $3 to $5 more expensive than Ion). Furthermore, you need a license to purchase this stuff in a store. Psssh... screw that right? Sallys Beauty Supply!!

Anyway, here was the image that inspired me from EGG Magazine. ^_^

Stay lovely my dears!

Pink Lowlights - Hair Update

My dear friend Tara was kind enough to help me put pink lowlights in my hair. We tried just in the front to see how it turned out, and I am definitely planning to go all over!

Here is my pink hair inspiration from my tumblr:

Here is a tacky bathroom picture to show off my freshly dyed hair!

This is a close up of the wonderful pink addition to my hair. I'm extremely pleased!

This should fade to a bubblegum pink. Do you like?
